The Minister for Human Services, The Hon Alan Tudge MP is encouraging people to get their hearing checked as part of Hearing Awareness week.
Held between 20-26 August this year, Hearing Awareness Week raises awareness of hearing loss and encourages people to have their hearing checked.
Now in its third year and with more than 7,000 hearing checks completed, Hearing Awareness Week is Australian Hearing’s national drive that calls on Australians to have a yearly hearing check-up.
Free hearing checks are at Australian Hearing centres plus mobile and pop-up hearing checkpoints specially organised to increase accessibility.
