CaSPA Care are pleased to advise we have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our facilities. This includes residents and staff.
With the increase in numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 in Melbourne and the lock down of public housing towers in inner Melbourne suburbs we made the decision to go into preventative lock down for visitors effective from midnight 4th July 2020.
This is not an easy decision and we fully understand the impact of this on our residents, their families and visitors. However, we must do everything we can to ensure safety of our residents and we believe this is an action we need to take.
The lock down will be in place initially for 5 days as per Victorian Premier’s announcements for residents in the public housing towers. However this is a highly changeable situation and we will review and advise any changes in line with current Victorian Government directives.
We continue to offer longer and more frequent visits for specific cases such as end of life care, reducing a loved one’s stress or confusion or for compassionate reasons.
