Lockdown 5.0 ends: Restrictions remain in place
As news of the lockdown lifting was aired this morning we once again wait to find out when visitors will be allowed back into aged care facilities. At this stage nothing has changed, so from midnight 27 July 2021 visitors will remain restricted to the following:
Care Facility Visitor Restrictions
Visitors are permitted into care facilities for reasons that include:
- To provide care and support for the resident’s physical and emotional wellbeing
- As a nominated person under the Mental Health Act
- To provide interpreter or informal language support
- For learning to support the resident’s care upon discharge
- Non-essential contractors are restricted from entry
Density limits also remain in place, so please continue to email Maricar Carew on mcarew@caspacare.org.au regarding your visit and she will contact you to arrange.
Resident outings
Aged care residents are free to leave the facility they live in just as any Victorian is able to leave their home. When residents leave the facility, they must comply with the same public health directions that all Victorians are required to comply with. Please note masks are required everywhere – indoors and outdoors unless an exemption applies or when exercising. We ask that residents please see reception for a mask prior to leaving.
