Sam Wilson is smirking. The 87-year-old shuffles his walker slowly, but his quick-witted jibes at his lover come thick and fast.
“I’m 87 and you’re what? Twenty-what?” he prods Gloria Graydon.
“I’m 77,” she rolls her eyes.
It’s been four years since the two locked eyes on their way to a dance, organised by their independent-living nursing home CaSPA Care Emerald Hill in South Melbourne.
